Located midway between Mattoon and Charleston on Route 16, Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center is a JCAHO approved facility licensed for 202 beds. Its service area extends to seven counties and provides over 154,000 residents with quality, comprehensive health care. As a regional referral center, Sarah Bush offers a wide range of services including an expanded emergency department with 24-hour on duty ER physicians, a regional cancer center, a regional psychiatric center, level II prenatal facility, skilled nursing unit, a monitored care unit, a well equipped ICU, a fixed base MRI unit, mobile mammography unit, and a recently opened ambulatory surgery unit. Cardiac catheterization facilities are under construction.
